Google Chromecast 3rd Generation

I have owned the 1st gen chromecast for 3 years and although good, I was limited to 2.4g wireless standard which as we all know, is quite congested.
This 3rd gen device works on both 2.4g and 5g standards and from my experience so far, is quicker and more stable. It does not seem to get as warm so I think that means better efficiency.

Great Chromecast experience

A friend has one of these, and I was impressed so bought one for myself.
It's a great way to extend range of entertainment material viewable on the main TV.

Also as the device is hidden on hte back of hte TV, it doesn't ad to the clutter of boxes

Casting made easy

I have BT sport via my phone contract.. now i dont habe to mirror mu phone on my TV.. i can cast BT sport and anything else that has Casting feature and use my phone with everything showing on the screen.. i can even take calls whilst the casting is still playing. Love this device, took about 3 to 4 minutes to set up, so easy to use i'm surprised I didn't get one before, whatever I can do on my laptop screen I can now do on my tv, so much so that I now have 4 connected on all my tv's. The chromecast is a good product in it's own right. The setup is easy and well guided. It's a simple idea and it's been well thought out. Google are constantly adding options and fixing the ones that don't quite work as smoothly as they should. The basic package is intuitive, and works using pretty much normal language, you don't need to learn a new language.

The refurbish option is a great money saver and makes the decision to try it out that much easier. Mine doesn't have any marks or scratches - it looks brand new but cost significantly less than a new model and less than secondhand models selling on bidding sites - definitely a win!Read full review

Good piece of kit if tricky to set up right

Found this a bit tricky to set up and if changing home was not easy. Found it a bit hit and miss wether it would work at first and couldn’t figure out why. Had to resort to forums to resolve issues. But once set up probably, it seems to do its job well.Read full review
