Not as advertised!

Sondbar was a later model than shown in the advertisment, later model does not behave in the same way the earlier one did, after 15 mins of silence, it will turn itself off with a loud announcement that it's switching itself off, it then announces itself when turned on and changes settings to default. not at fit for the intended purpose. But clearly advertised with no returns. So I am stuck with it. Read full review

A bargain for Christmas. Overall good sound for under £15!!

May not be the same sound quality as a "high end" system, but doesn't it perform well for £14.79!!!! (as at December 2019) from cheapest_electrical on Ebay. If you want a bargain at the moment, worth considering. When testing via a music tv recording, you could certainly hear clarity, warmth & a sense of rhythm around the instruments, once you adjust the levels to your satisfaction/room acoustics. The best sound mode is movie, followed by music. The voice mode is very tinny/muddled, not worth using! Compared to the tv's own built-in speaker (even good a quality tv) it is an improvement. If you want something better you are going to have to spend a lot, lot more for better sound or a full surround system. The only negative, is that the remote is very tiny & buttons seem a bit vague in operation. Verdict: grab one before they sell out! JohnRead full review

Great for the money!

A good sound and perfect for our use as its based in our BBQ hut.
Works great with our phones, easily linked up and plays spotify, radio etc and comes with remote.
Brilliant for the money and would be good for kids rooms TV or small room.

Definitely recommended at this price.

Although described as B+, apart from the main box having been carefully opened the product looked new. Everything was unmarked and in sealed bags. All leads and accessories were present and correct. Despite the instructions saying that the Bluetooth wasn't compatible with smart TVs, it works well with my TV (Polaroid).

Regarding sound quality, you need to manage expectations. This is a Goodmans soundbar, not a high end one and if you want hi-fi or a full cinema experience, you need to set your sights higher. Whereas my old sound bar sounded sort of OK in all circumstances, this one can make voices sound a bit "boxy" sometimes but music can sound quite good and it's picking up little details in the sound that weren't there with my old bar. At the price you can't criticise the sound and it's fine.

The remote control is too small and fiddly but this seems to be normal for soundbars.

It would be an average buy at £50 or so (which I think is what they sell for when new) but you can't possibly go wrong for £14.79.Read full review

Sound on a budget

Bought this purely based on the price. Received the item within a day of placing my order. All I can say is wow. Very impressed, yes it's a Goodmans, yes it's only 60w and it's cheap but it's fantastic quality. It took me a matter of minutes to set it up to my TV using the optical cable that comes supplied. I then fired it up and firstly used it with my xbox and the sound is incredible I could literally hear everything from gunfire in the distance to peoples footsteps. The sound bar also has blue tooth so I decided to connect my Huawei p20 Pro to it. Pairing took no more than 10 seconds to work. Playing music again sounded incredible through the sound bar. All in all I'm absolutely delighted with the item. If you are looking for a cheap sound bar just to make a small improvement over your current televisions sound, then I highly recommend this especially for the price. The only downsides I found was the sound bar is a little chunky and although it works perfectly the remote feels like it could be easily broken. These are minor little issues.Read full review
