It works but takes time on stubborn dogs
It works great at silencing barking. It does need to be placed in a good spot. Line of site is best, if not as close as possible works.
I set it on ultrasonic and max sensitivity for best results and it worked within a couple days on most dogs. I did have to spend a few minutes one morning pressing and holding the button to make it a bit more effective and it worked.
Some dogs cannot hear or are so stubborn they will never stop. That case will just require a knock on the neighbors door.
It is a great passive alternative if there are multiple problem barkers in the area.

This was not the product pictured and only has a 200ft range

No more doggone worries
15 year old Bassett Hound next door barking non stop for almost 2 years since its buddy, another old dog passed. When dog is by itself it just howls away.
This device works as advertised.
I put in the batteries, turned it on. Powered up sensitivity as high as it will go. Went outside onto patio deck. I live in an apartment.
Dog stopped barking. Slowly started lowering sensitivity. If, and I do mean if, the dogs starts barking I turn it on. Haven't had to use it for three days now.

Not working out
I don't know if it's because I have two barking dogs or what but I've been using this device for a week without any results. They totally ignore it. They suck
These don't detect barking. They detect any sort of noise and go off constantly!!!!!!! Impossible to use to train your dog not to bark when any damn sound sets them off. My medium size dog drops to the ground and just shakes and it really messed with his head. My English mastiff though seems unaffected by it. I wasted my money buying these! Dogs Are Still Barking
It was obvious when I plugged it in that my dogs could hear the ultrasound when they barked. They looked a little concerned for first few hours, but then they got over it and bark like it’s not even plugged in. Neighbor’s dogs that are within range still barking too. Best Invention EVER!!!
My two small dogs parked themselves at two front windows so they could keep eyes on the neighborhood. They were vigilant. A leaf could not fall from a tree or a squirrel could not bury a future dinner without Bella and Bindi letting us all know about it. That was bad enough, but let a neighbor walk outside to check their mail and B and B would escalate their barking by several decibels. They became absolutely hysterical if a package was delivered outside of the front door, or (Heaven forbid) someone rang the doorbell!! We were at our wits end, and began to consider completely covering those two windows. Then we discovered the Ultrasonic Dog Silencer. We were expecting it to take a day or two to take effect on our dogs, but it worked the very first day. We started at a low setting, but today we raised it some. We think they got used to the first level and barked a little more. B and B are now quiet again.
