The camera has a quality feel about it , giving clear pictures and filming in varying resolutions dependent on the type of filming you want to shoot. Use as a basic hd camera point and shoot or burst mode. No need to worry about shooting with a fish eye lens as this if required can be corrected by the gopro software which is free to download and edit with. There is an abundance of adapters , cases for all kinds of fixtures and uses, underwater case, floats, motorcycle and bike brackets the list is endless even a dog bracket adapter for a pets view of the world. Filming on a motorcycle the footage was clear even mounted on the handlebar. The only niggle i have about the camera is when yo want to change some settings it is a bit fiddly, also not all shooting options are available unless you connect it to your smart phone but once setup it is just point and shoot or attach to bracket and let the camera roll, at the end of the day it is designed to be compact to catch action footage without being too intrusive which it does successfully. A couple of observations is that the camera can run very hot if used over half an hour in an enclosure without ventilation, also that the camera does tend to struggle connecting to our macbook air unless you shutdown the mac and restart with camera already connected, but thats a minor glitch. Good action camera BUT

Good quality images but rubbish battery (life) lasts only 5 minutes.- and nothing seems to improve it defeats the whole purpose.

Over heats, stops recording and now all the photo modes don't work...

The gopro hero 3 plus black, has been nothing but a headache, especially being bought through eBay... The camera overheats and now inoperable!
Which is ridiculous considering the it's a: was brand new and b: an action cam, that hasn't been able to last more than 20 uses! These uses consisted of a trip to the zoo and the rest cycle commuting.

Do not purchase off of eBay as the warranty isn't valid in the event of the above happening.Read full review
