Garmin DriveSmart 50LMT 5 inch GPS Navigator

Great device awful website

The Garmin DriveSmart 50LMT-D is a big improvement over its predecessor that I owned, another well-known brand,.The voice alerts are clear and precise and in good time, graphics are excellent and lane advice is good. Just a shame that the website Garmin Express, is not very user-friendly nor are the support staff, I spoke via the chat line to "Phil" who obviously got bored talking to an OAP and just disappeared. Don't worry Phil, I sorted out the problem myself. I feel that the problem now with SatNavs is that companies are losing interest in portable systems, hence the attitude and disappearance of some extras. It was fine while it worked!

It was fine which it worked - screen was a bit fussy - but after a few months it developed a loose connection, so it just worked sometimes. My new car has a fitted satnav- but I don’t feel I can try to sell on this one. Read full review

This one replaced an earlier model that I have been very happy with but the old one did have a fascination with fords ( the river type not the car) so I expect the new one is better all round.
