Does the job

Built in China for Kingfisher (to sell as B&Q & others own brand), it's not going to be the best bit of kit a garden has seen, but it does the job fairly well for a good price. I've only used it on rake setting so far and I filled a wheelie bin full of moss from my back lawn (probably about 80 sq metres). You can rake a line about 7 metres long before the hopper starts dropping ripped out moss back onto the lawn so there's a lot of back & forth to the bin to empty, but that seems to be the case with all scarifiers.
For something that I'll probably only use 2-3 times a year it's absolutely fine. The 1500w motor has sufficient power, just make sure you don't go too deep when it's dry & keep the air vents free to allow cooling.

The perfect tool for small, mid-sized garden

The plus, plenty of power to undertake scarifiering lawns effectively.
The minus, the catchment bag is far to small, infact next to unless. Only after 2/3 meters the bag has to be emptied. Got around this problem by leaving the collection bag off altogether.
Leaving the debris loose on the lawn to be collected and bagged up later, using a manual lawn rake.

As described

Struggled to find unit below £100 budget to replace old similar existing electric unit. Only one I could find in stock,
Arrived in a couple of days , unbox put together, way we go.
Plenty of power to scarify, hight adjustable , did a 100sq mtr lawn in about 45 mins. Although forget collection box, fills up very quick n you end up spending more time emptying that then doing what the raking. My tip as with the previous unit I had, wedge open rear flap so points down without obstructing your work and hand collect/ rake up when done.
Worked a treat, separate rake attachment may be of some use as well.

Brilliant machine

Used it as raker, it removed easily 90% of dead grass, just what I needed it for, easy to build up simple instructions to follow, plenty of power, light enough to use, not to big to store, half the price of others on market.Read full review

Good value for money

Raker works well, is easy to construct and does the job. The collection basket is small and doesn't work very well for me - but that might be because of the amount of moss I was raking. As long as you are prepared to manually rake up the moss after you have produced it, then the product works well.Read full review

Good value, efficient and does the job

Good little piece of equipment. Ideal for small to medium size lawns up to 200 sq ft. Good choice of settings. Be careful to clear the air intake to the motor as if grass gets inside you won' t be able to clear it out without dismantling.Read full review

Unbelievable for the price

First impressions are I got this product at a bargain price all the other lawn rakes were over £100 this one was just shy of £80.
Tried it out does what it should do the only issue I have is the clips supplied to hold the cable on the handle are to put it politely rubbish, I ended up using cable ties other than that no problem. The item was delivered next day which was even better.Read full review

Works well. Easy to manage.

Does a good job quickly. Only minor comments. 1 The handle does not fix easily and comes lose (but that may be because I don't want to tighten it too much, 2. As I read in reviews before I purchased, grass box is small and needs regular emptying. Overall very pleased.Read full review

Thatch Remover

The unit is relatively easy to assemble including changing from the scarifier to the rake. Following my first use of the product my advice would be to start on a high setting as it’s very aggressive & will destroy your lawn if you’re not careful. It’s amazing how much ‘rubbish’ it removes. The collector fills very quickly & you may choose to use without it & pick up by use of a mower afterwards. The machine sets off very quickly & you must keep moving as it will scalp your lawn if you run it whilst stationary. After just one use I was pleased with the result & will use again once the lawn recovers a little. The message is “so far so good !”Read full review

Overall a very good product

Easy to use!

Folding down easiest compared to other products.

I used on level 3 of 4 (1 being the deepest). Did a really good job. I was very happy and amazed how much thatch there was.<br>
Warning it does pull and I had a stone in the ground. Which flung the stone and smashed a window as the pull caught me out.

The switch does feel cheap but what would you expect for this price. Based on performance I am very happy.
