Gamo features and reputation

After owning a Gamo Swarm Whisper pellet rifle for a few years and enjoying it's exceptional scoped accuracy and power, I decided to add a pellet pistol and Gamo was my first choice of brands. The PR-776 revolver appealed with it's long rifled barrel and simple rotary magazine cylinder loading design. The reloadable decorative cartridges or partial cylinder discs of competitors seemed to add more mechanical things and less efficient function.

So far the loading, handling, sight acquisition, and target accuracy is going well in my indoor range setting. Hopefully it will soon join the Gamo rifle for altering the karma of chipmunks, squirrels, and raccoons that are invading and wrecking landscaping and birdfeeders.

Top heavy with poor construction. It's a no for me dawg! Don't buy.

The Revolver is very front heavy and nearly unwieldy. The hammer and trigger action have a very strange feel to them that makes it very difficult to shoot. Mine broke the 2nd time using it, seals blew and will now no longer hold air. I'm attempting to return it. Too bad too because the design is a decent idea and I liked the swing out cylinder and loadable rotary magazines.Read full review

A Good Practice Gun at Low Cost

Haven't tried it out yet, but I can give it 5 stars already. It feels good just to handle it. To work the swing-out cylinder. To cock the hammer and practice trigger control. To take aim with the excellent fully adjustable sights and slowly squeeze. The somewhat flimsy feel to the grips is not a deal breaker, since they function perfectly well. Not having to use cartridges to house the pellets is a plus for someone who wants to spend more time shooting and less time loading. Great buy at a great price.

Impressive

Easily the best pellet revolver I own so far. It is full metal (except for grips), 4.5mm, 6'' rifled steel barrel, comes with 2 metal 8 shot mags, adjustable rear sight, reflective white dot front sight, nice trigger, accurate, worth every penny I paid for it. Claims 400 fps. (haven't checked that yet). No cons.Read full review

Thank You Brothers and Sisters in TAIWAN *****

Great to have a company producing recreational air guns of fine quality ! Much like those produced by Crosman and Daisy in the 40's through the 1960's . This one I purchased has the heft and feel of a real firearm being all metal ! The realism in the swing out cylinder and loading the clips adds to the overall asthetics and can not get any closer to the real thing except a real firearm ! After feeding several types of lead pellets as well as those wonderful Prometheus pointed zinc, I was thoroughly satisfied and pleased with the performance of this very nice air revolver ! I have purchased several other air guns made by UMAREX and they are ALL well made and absolute FUN to shoot !!! WAY TO GO *****UMAREX***** Read full review

Beautiful and heavy CO2 6" pistol

I choose this air pistol with regards for my community and personal requirements. Restrictions exist on outdoor use and display. One hand operation with magazine loading were needed. Lower total power eliminated rifles. Two hand loading and cocking were out. Indoor target shooting was left. 6" barrel wanted for accuracy. A rail mounted red dot finder was desired. A metal design was desired. Ease of loading was desired. Reviews were important. After searching, the Gamo PR776 was my choice. I really like the appearance and mechanical design. It is a very heavy pistol to me but, I will consider that physical therapy. After the first round of iron sight shots, I confirmed my need for a red dot sight. I can put most shots in a 1.25" bullseye at 18ft. I am pleased with the pistol.Read full review

Nice revolver

I have been looking for a new revolver. However I don't care to much for the ones with cartridges. They never give you enough of them and you spend more time loading than shooting.

I ended up buying this Gamo PR776. It is a nice looking revolver all metal construction. And has 2 metal clips. Have a couple extra coming. Haven't shot it yet. But will this weekend.

If your looking for a revolver for some indoor winter target practice. Here is a great price on one of these.

Nice gun, definitely worth the price.

I really like the weight and feel of this pistol. The only problem I have is that the grip is loose. I will fix this, no big deal.

Lots of backyard fun. Accurate and nicely designed.

This is an awesome pellet pistol. Lots of fun. Pretty good punch. Easy to aim and fire. Fairly accurate once you get used to the trigger feel. Easy to load. Also, due to its design, it can accommodate long pellets, which many pistols cannot.Read full review

Okay,but not great

Pellet gun is okay for plinking, and backyard target shooting. I wouldn't try hunting, you can see the pellets shooting from the gun. Not very powerful.
