Great travel and all around lens

Fujifilm has done well with this lens, making it more than just a kit lens and perhaps justifying its comparatively hefty price tag. Given that the lens is available in a kit with Fuji X-mount camera bodies, this isn't necessarily a factor but if you're a prime lens shooter looking for something a bit more convenient, you probably won't be disappointed with the Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4. Unnoticeable improvement compared to the 16-50mm.

Bought this lens to replace my older inferior 16-50mm and I haven't really noticed any significant sharpness or overall image quality improvement. Yes this lens is much better built and can shoot at F2.8 but in my opinion it wasn't really worth the upgrade over the much cheaper 16-50mm. Read full review

I received the lens in great condition, packed with care, but when I unwrapped it I found that the serial number had been scratched at to the point of being illegible. This is the only sign of wear/damage on the lens, which leads me to believe it was an intentional alteration done by a previous owner. Better than you think
