Great lens indeed!

This is a good quality and versatile zoom lens. Unlike those typical "kit lens", this one is well built (metal construction) and produces very good IQ and sharp images. The zoom is smooth with solid feel. It's sharper than the 27mm 2.8 wide open as tested. Read full review

If you only own one Fuji XF lens ~ this is the one for you!

I had a Nikon 24-120 F.28 previously with my Nikon D810. Now shooting Fuji XT-4 I had numerous primes, but found that I was changing lanes too often and getting dust on my sensor.

I have found that this lens to be solid and made shooting with my XT-4 a joy. And it so much lighter than my previous set up. I recently was shooting it St Louis and had no issues with it being a F.4 aperture as I mainly shoot Landscapes with and w/o a tripod.

So if you can only afford one, or you wish to travel light, this is the lens for you!

Another great Fuji lens that I can always count on

I own several Fuji lens and they are all excellent. But this 18-55 is on my camera the most because it's so versatile. The images it produces have a very special character about them. The lens is very sharp, handles well, and has outstanding vibration reduction (I've shot many sharp pictures at 1/8 second.) Like all Fujis, the lens is physically beautiful with superb build quality. Read full review

Quite Nice for a Kit Lens

I'm mainly a still photographer, a huge fan of prime lenses. But when I got an X-T3, I wanted a zoom lens for ease with simple video shoots. So I started looking for one, understanding the lens speed vs convenience trade-off.
I'm quite surprised at the image quality of this basic kit lens. It is also pretty durable, and affordable when bought used. I'm finding myself using this lens for many still shots (along with video), and at this point the lens pretty much resides on the camera!

Excellent lens! Its Fuji, what did you expect? Leica quality at a fraction of the price.

I have never had such a satisfyingly good lens in my decades of photography. Top quality design, construction and results. More of a "multiple prime" lens, the image quality is that good. It just exudes quality. Read full review

This lens is really what people say it is

More than a kit lens for sure. I had the 16-50 for a bit and it was a bad lens. Felt cheap and not as sharp. This lens is sharp. Shoots well in low light with correct ISO. The weight is nice on a x-t2. Definitely a must-have in your Fuji lens arsenal. Read full review

good for everywhere

It is lightweight and should be carried anywhere. The resolution is also fine. Although it is a dark aperture value, it is not a problem to use it normally. I personally have more strobe shooting, so the resolution is more important than the aperture value. One disadvantage is that OSS does not play a role.Read full review

Great all purpose lens

There are lots of positive reviews on the Internet about this lens. It's a fujinon kit lens, which is as capable as many pro level zoom lenses. The image quality is great and the optical image stabilization is very impressive, especially when shooting video. Overall, this is a GREAT all purpose lens that covers a wide variety of photography subjects, including landscapes, portraits, and candid shots. It's lightweight, so you can carry it anywhere without feeling the fatigue of heavy DSLR equipment. If you have the money, I recommend adding this one to your lens collection. Read full review

Great starter lens

I think this is a spectacular kit lens! Better than the CX series, but still a step down from some of the nicer FX lenses. I was shooting a manual lens for about 2 years before finally getting a good deal on this lens. Auto focus is sharp and the video is beautiful! Image quality is amazing, but I would say that it isn't as good as some of the manual glass I have.Read full review

this lens is sharp and one of the best kit lenses in the market. its a metal body, built to last

this is a great versatile and sharp lens. dont be fooled by thinking it is a kit lens. Check out some of the work on google and you will be amazed. Also it is a metal body and not cheap plastic sold by Canon & Nikon . It is a nice size and balances well on XT1/XT2/Xpros and XT10s. This is a great value for anyone you needs a versatile lens.
