if you have coax runs throughout your house no longer being used MOCA is where its at!!!
I ran coax years ago throughout my house, it served me well. Now in 2024 we use fiber optic, stream tv over a modem and router. fiber and ethernet is where its at. I didn't really want to run ethernet to all my tv drops that already have coax. so i have read about moca some years ago and decided to take the plunge. I pay the internet service provider for 500/500 Mbps fiber. My house was built in 1932, I have wireless equipment but between many devices and the structure of the house, not so stable. Now with Moca, i am able to see at the other end of my house from where the modem and the router are, a stable 550/550 Mbps to my tv that i stream most of my content from. its only been 2 weeks but the streams are really stable. I plan on getting more of these to extend my connections through house and property to make a more stable network and rely less on wifi that is so unstable in my area because of structural issues, congestion from so much wifi around me.Read full review

Doesn't Work!!
I tried everything to get this working (I had even replaced the splitters in my home), but this device would never work for me. I had to put back in my older MoCA 1.1 adapter (which works flawlessly). Unfortunately, I missed the 14-day window, so I'm now screwed. I just want to warn others not to make the same mistake as I had! Look for another model!Read full review

Plug and Play
This was super easy to setup. Basically, just plug in the adapters to each end of the Coax Cable and you are good to go. A few words of note: change the settings on BOTH adapters to either LAN or 25W before plugging in as the default 1GW setting will not give you the best connection, also when you plug both units in it can take a few minutes to pair before you get internet connection, and finally if you notice your speeds are significantly slower than from your router you should remove any splitters between the units and upgrade to MoCa adapters to minimize signal loss if you need a splitter. I was not able to get rid of loss completely, but I was able to minimize it. This is by far the cheapest and easiest way to extend your internet connection using Coax I have found out there!Read full review

MoCa devices doubled my mesh WiFi throughput
I used these to connect a Verizon FiOS Router (model G1100, but I'm soon upgrading it to a G3100) to an existing Deco M5 Mesh network. Originally, the main Deco unit was connected via Ethernet to the router. The satellites were connected wirelessly (obviously very sub-optimal).
These MoCa adapters are fantastic. They worked right out of the box (you can choose one of 3 switch settings) and I basically doubled my network throughput by cutting out the wireless backhaul (which, of course, halves the WiFi throughput).
Great devices, and a great seller.Read full review

These are better-performing gadgets than...
These are better-performing gadgets than I had anticipated. (For the new: MoCa devices run Ethernet data over TV cables. My use is very typical: want a wired network port in my house; fishing Ethernet through old walls proved hard; but there are cable TV outlets.) Indoor TV cabling is such a grotty mishmash of history and splitters that I wasn't surprised at earlier MoCa being "just OK". But these things fly. I don't know their actual limit, because my rig hits other limits first.Read full review

Fabulous adapters and superb value for money
Excellent Moca adapters and great value for money. These are priced at less than half of the other known brands. I get close to 1Gb/sec output quite consistently from my router connected directly to this Moca adapter. I haven’t tried connecting my pc to it directly. Wouldn’t be surprised if I get the full 1.4Gb/sec bandwidth from Comcast or close to it. Read full review

Great cheap adapter with full speed
Fantastic cheap MoCa 2.5 adapter. The LAN setting worked best for me, but 25GW might be better for others; I'm pulling 950mbps on iperf3 with two of these on one coax cable up 4 stories.

Works fine but limited functionality
Works Great! Only drawbacks are: only 1 ethernet jack---& only 1 coax port-no passthrough to a cable box-bought 2 of a different brand with 2 jacks for each-

Used existing coax for lan
I recently cut the cable cord and went with a streaming service I had co-ax running to the tv’s. I connected an Ethernet cable from the modem to an adapter to the coax in the house and then to another adapter to the lan connection on the tv. Worked flawlessly Read full review
