What a great idea?

... not just for the mature, visually impaired or those with arthritis, which discribes this user but for anyone who thinks simple is good. Firstly it gets rid of the TWO remotes, it does away with minuscule buttons and removes the umpteen controls that often aren't required especially after initial tv system set up.
The programming is clear and straight forward and its use easily explained to the end user. . The only issue we discovered was the users inability to realise which channel they were on when using " favourites", which is the only way it makes sense. If an LED number could be displayed on the handset or some means of making the tv show a large channel ID on screen it would be pretty much perfect. Don't let my 4* rating put you off its well worth the money and 100 times better than any alternative.Read full review

Useful simple tv remote control

Very useful simple TV remote. Used by elderly person who gets confused and has problems pressing the wrong buttons on normal remotes.
Only minor issue that changing channel one step at a time can take a while to scroll through 600+ channels, although you can go through channels more quickly when button held down.
Overall, much better for somebody who has problems with 'complicated' remote controls with too many buttons on them, and just wants to switch on/off, move through the main channels, adjust volume and mute if the phone rings.Read full review

Good for seniors

This remote simplifies operating a modern "smart" TV to just 6 essential actions
on/off: volume up: volume down: channel up: channel down: mute.

This makes it easy to operate for seniors or for anyone puzzled/dismayed by the usual multi-button smart remote. The drawback is that all the so-called "smart" functions may not be so easily available or have to be programmed.
