Crib Goch Outdoor suppliers shipped the Fjallraven Greenland wax swiftly by royal mail. The wax bar was similar to bar of soap in size, I used this to reproof Caradice vintage Super C rear panniers, easy to apply then use hairdryer to warm wax into duck cotton.I applied twice with outstanding results and plenty left on the bar. I recommend this trusted seller better price than elsewhere which was more expensive and watch out for the smaller gram size on offer.Read full review

Need plenty of layers

I used this on canvas bag sew by my own (around 6oz).
The first layer is most difficult to apply (and looks no effect) I later on find out I have to heat the fabric, ensure it is a bit warm before rubbing the wax on top. Warm fabric is much easier to grab more wax. It takes several layers to have good effect. Fabric turns to a stiff handfeel. But not easy to make it evenly, depends the pressure /how many times you rube it... especially I applied on a finished bag.

Color of fabric would not change after apply the wax. Although I prefer some uneven natural shades, a leather like.
(I believe the heat activated wax could do what I expected )
I have not tried the waterproof effect. I think it also depend the fabric itself.

Bush Crafters essential

Great wax, easy to use and apply evenly, once applied heated with a hairdryer leaving a firmer material that’s visibly water resistant. It’s worth spending a few pounds more for superior quality products.Read full review

Good stuff!

If you have a jacket like a Fjallraven then you can increase wind and water resistance with this wax. Apply it onto the material and then melt it with an iron or hair-dryer. I prefer the latter but both work. It is simple and before you know it your summer jacket is now ready for the bad weather. I have also used it on walking trousers from other makers and it works well.Read full review

easy to use

It mat seem like a fuss, but it's very easy to use. It did not discolour my jacket at all, even though I was a bit nervous. Great product, great buy. It works!

Great product

Couldn’t be easier to use. Long strokes then melt into fabric with a hairdryer. Watch the rain run off! Top class. Up the Boro!!

Works Well & Natural

Great to be able to choose the level of waterproofing needed, and to be able to do so with a fairly natural product (a blend of paraffin & bee's waxes)
I applied liberally, then used a hot air gun to melt it in- the melting process is most satisfying : )
After a single all-over application I was still dry after a 30 minute walk in fairly strong English seaside winter wind & heavy rain.
