Multi-fuel packable wonder stove

Opted for the steel Firebox GEN2 Nano mainly for the price so I could try out the concept. From a functionality standpoint, it's fantastic as I was able to use different fuel sources based on what was available at the time or what I was in the mood to burn. You can immediately feel the robust construction (made in the USA) of the steel model, and you get a sense that it won't warp under normal conditions burning wood sticks inside the fuel chamber. But, honestly, what I like most about it is that it's just a cool design - flips open and folds flat so easy. The video tutorials by the inventor are fun to watch and copy yourself. I like using my Trangia with it since the Nano becomes a windshield and and an adjustable pot stand. Only thing to watch out for is the hot coals can fall from the bottom ash pan, and will burn the area immediately underneath it. I don't have any carbon felt pads, so I just use one of my steel camping plates as a fire ring. If you don't have a camp fire set up to cook on, this is pretty fun to use if you want a bio-fuel stove.Read full review

This stove is so convenient, in that it folds up in one piece so no pieces get lost. You can use any type of fuel in it, as well as wood and it cools very fast when you are finished with it. Its light, very pack-able and fits nicely in my German mess kit. Very good stove.Read full review
