Great upgrade on my Fender American Deluxe Jazz Bass

The tone of these pickups is more modern than the N3 Fender noiseless pick ups that were on my bass. Go for the N3 if you prefer the Vintage Fender tone better, but I found these quieter and I can accomplish more variations of tones either through the bass active pre-amp or my amp itself.

I would describe them as more neutral, which gives you the opportunity to shape them how ever you want a little easier than the true Vintage sounding pickups.

Just a matter of preference of course, but pure tone with all the headroom you will ever want for sure.
