Looks and sounds great!

Very easy to install - instructions were very simple, took about 45 minutes to install without a helper. Be sure to have some Blaster or penetrating lube onhand for the old clamp and exhaust joint. Also, use some liquid dish soap on the existing rubber isolating mounts - they require a lot of prying and "pursuading" to remove. Do the passenger side first, then the other. After the mounts are unhooked, be prepared for a good upper body workout as you twist and rock the old muffler off the exhaust pipe. My vehicle only has 22K miles so 'actual mileage may vary' -- be patient.

The looks are amazing - it doesn't hang down like the stock unit so it's less likely to get hung up on obstacles.

The sound is NOT loud or obnoxious - it's a subtle change. A little more boomy resonance just off idle, but not intrusive above 2K rpm. Definnitely noticeable at full throttle but fairly tame at highway cruising speeds. You can still listen to music and carry on a conversation. If you're looking for an aggressive tone that turns heads and scares small children, look instead at the Competition Series, or headers and a cat-back design. I wasn't looking for that raspy, rice-burner sound. I have the 6-speed manual, so this unit just allows me to rely more on my ears to shift and provides a more engaging driving experience.

Sexy Pipe

I love the finished installation!
I was fortunate enough to have read all the reviews before I bought it. A few said “take it to a shop and pay to have it installed”. I took their advice. The old system wasn’t that difficult to remove, but the new system sat crooked in its place. We ended up grinding off the locator pin on the exhaust pipe and cutting an inch or so off of it so the new system could be pushed further into the space. After it was hung and fully tightened, my guy employed a large pry bar to even out the exhaust tips to the bumper. $60. well spent. I would’ve been half of a day and completely pissed off if I had tried it by myself. The end result is perfect. The sound is perfect. The look is perfect. I couldn’t be happier.Read full review

Easy, Attractive, Performance,

Instructions were concise. Removing existing muffler on my 2014 JKU had it's own idiosyncrasies as we each will find with our individual Jeeps. They are not insurmountable and not difficult. The Magnaflow dual exhaust installed easily. Dawn dish soap is a good lubricant for the muffler hangers both for removal and installation. No tools needed just a little effort and leverage. If you have read other purchasers reviews you have read that some had problems with the passenger side exhaust not sticking out as far as the drivers side relative to the bumper. I had the same problem and after looking at it determined it was the angle of the original exhaust pipe which the Magnaflow attaches to. I detached both hangers from the Magnaflow leaving it attached to the original pipe, placed a 2x4 between the jeep exhaust pipe and the frame on the driver's side, pulled on the passenger side of the Magnaflow exhaust until I got the tail pipes were even. Little effort was needed and bingo, perfect.
I concurrently installed the Injen EVO5003 Air Intake System and between the two I have a noticeable increase in acceleration. The sound between the new intake and the exhaust is nice but not objectionable on acceleration and for the most part disappears at speed.
If you are looking for a lot of noise out of this Magnaflow you will be disappointed. It has a low throaty sound at idle. I read other reviews stating that they thought the sound replicated an (8) eight cylinder performance exhaust. I grew up in the 60's, 70's and believe me the 3.6L will never sound like any eight cylinder so let's not pretend.
Lugging in school zones in drive 4 it is somewhat noticeable but downshift to 3rd and it's gone. At speed, barely noticeable. Using the ECO on my Wrangler and most of my driving is short trips off highway it appears I'm experiencing and 1.2 MPG gain going from 19.2 to 20.4. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with these modifications and highly recommend. Keep in mind that my JK is a Mall Crawler and "noise" is not a goal for me so I'm very satisfied. There are noisier tuned exhaust out their according to my research but this Magnaflow totally satisfies my needs. The appearance of these high quality duals coming out the back of a Jeep is awesome...Thanks for reading...Thomas
