Salt clearance from Outboard Motor (2-stroke Mariner 4)

Motor was bunged-up "solid" with salt and silt.
Used 5 litres plus 15 litres fresh water with leg stood in open-topped plastic
drum. Ran motor for 5 minutes every 15 mins for 1 hour. Flushed with fresh
water for repeat of original cycle.
Result: No salt visible. Some silt brushed out from around cylinder water
jacket.
30 year old Motor should run for another 30 years.

Salt5 didn't work for me

I followed the instructions carefully and when I applied Salt5, it fizzed a little after a few minutes but when I washed it away with lots of water, the efflorescence remained. I allowed the wall to dry overnight, and then tried again but it had little effect. Perhaps the efflorescence had been there too may years.Read full review...

Tried it

It was great on day one. It took away the salt on the brickwork and they looked great. However the next day the salt was back. Glad i tried it but didnt really work for me.

I would not buy this product again

I bought this product hoping it would get rid
of the white looking bricks that I have on my
wall but it did not .They are just the same
