Prevents tap movement in bathroom basin

A sure way to fix taps that move in the basin when you try and turn them on/off. We have basin taps which are connected to flexi hoses and as such the only thing that prevents the tap body itself from turning is the flat rubber washers and plastic backnut. This kit includes an insert (from above the sink) in the basin tap holes which provides a tight grip on the tap when it is pushed through the basin hole. There is a thick rubber washer and then a metal/brass washer which fit underneath the sink over the threaded part of the tap. Finally, you need to fit a locknut (not provided) - I fitted brass ones and not the plastic ones originally on the taps - these are readily available from the large DIY suppliers. Does exactly what it claims.

Bought to fix loose bath taps.
The supplied washer, once fitted to the tap, was a firm push into the bath hole.
So firm in fact that tightening the nut was a one person job - the tap didn't turn while the nut was being tightened.
The taps felt very firm when finished and I have every confidence they will remain so.

Replaced bath taps and as holes in bath were twice the size of the 3/4 inch thread and sealing washers supplied with taps barely covered the holes, no way to seal between taps and bath. Used Fix-a-Tap Kit. Problem solved. The End.Read full review
