Perfect product for loose taps!

I bought this to stop 2 new taps being loose in my ceramic basin. Took about 10 mins to fit and my this are now rock solid and going nowhere. This product is amazing, forget about all other options, just get this.Read full review

Brilliant piece of kit.

Although at first sight this product seems expensive, after trying to line up basin taps on a ceramic basin with rounded edges around the tap holes, and finding the washers to seal the taps on the top of the sink kept distorting and shifting I looked for a solution. I tried different washers, plumbers putty and silicon. All failed. The basin in question is now discontinued- I suspect because the tap openings were not presenting enough flat area to make a seal. I then came across the Essex fix-a-tap kit. Result-first time success. So considering about 10 hours of re-fittings and trips to suppliers before trying the ' fix -a-tap' kit it was very cheap indeed. The kit neatly aligned the taps centrally and enabled a secure water tight fit. If I had started with it, my better half would not think I was a plonker.Read full review

This kit consists of a number of washers and a metal back washer. The key component is the self centering rubber washer that keeps the tap from spinning round while you tighten the water connection. Genius!Read full review
