Works great - excellent purchase
The set up instructions were easy to follow and the printer was installed in about half an hour. Despite the print being of poor quality to begin with, after cleaning the heads (the straightforward instructions are in the Epson manual about how to do this) the print quality has been excellent ever since. Excellent purchase and well worth the money. Thank you.Read full review

a royal pain to set up and the ink is saying low on the cyan after only printing 4 pages ,,, not good at all really
it took me 3 hours to set up and download the apps on all five of my tablets here
after printing just 3 pages of text and one small 4 by 6 inch photo graph it is saying the cyan cartridge is nearly empty ,,,,,, yet all the rest are still full ,
note nothing i printed contained that much cyan
so im not happy about this ,,
however the function of the scanner and the printer do work ,im not happy about the cyan saying its low after 4 pages ,, this is badRead full review

Epson XP 245, 4/5
Initially easy to set up the printer (I.e turning it on etc), however the wireless printing is fairly difficult to set up and no wire is provided to connect your laptop and printer/scanner to enable scanning of items to be saved as documents on the computer. An initial set of inks is provided for the printer which is handy to enable testing of everything working how it should.Read full review

This printer is very good for the price
This is a very good printer for the price I only paid £20 for it the one thing I would suggest is you purchase a software disc which will cost you less than £3 ,,I found this useful as it contained other software for editing photographs etc and made the setup process much easier
the scanner quality is very good ,printed documents too even when using generic inkRead full review

small and neat
the Epson xp 245 wireless all in one printer is a great piece of kit for the price, easy to set up and gives good printing and good photos. It is quite compact , so therefore space saving, an all round bargain.Read full review

Good scanner - not yet tried it as a printer
I bought this all-in-one printer for its scanning performance, which is very good.
I use inkjet printing so rarely that I haven't even installed any ink cartridges (inkjet printers need to be used regularly - every 4-5 days - or the ink dries up and blocks the jets); so I know nothing about the printing quality.
Otherwise, the device is small, light-weight, and good-looking.Read full review

Really good value for money
Very pleased with this. In fact so pleased having bought one for my granddaughter I bought myself one too. Although the disc to download the software didn't work. All info for downloading everything was online and took seconds to sort. So all in all great little printer.Read full review

Does what it should and more
I've used Epson products over many years and found them excellent for value and quality. I bought this model on that basis and because it uses the same type of ink as another printer I already have. Its positive features include:
- Individual ink cartridges for black & the 3 colours, avoiding waste when one element used up
- warnings given when an ink level is low, and levels are easy to check
- scanned photos go straight to the Pictures folder (another brand I used created separate folders for each)
- only the actual photo is scanned (the other brand treated the whole A4 area as one image, which then had to be cropped, presumably losing some resolution)
- multiple photos placed with gaps between them are scanned and reproduced separately (the other brand treated them as one image, which then had to be divided)
- prints good quality photos on photographic paper, and enables non-standard sized photo printing of images on a Word document when printed on photo paper (other brands wouldn't allow this)
- wi-fi operation allows for convenient siting of the product away from the computer(s) or other devices
- facility for emailing from a distance is very useful
Note: I have only had the product for a few weeks, so there are doubtless other features yet to be used/discovered. From past experience, it is probably best to use only genuine Epson ink. Compatible products may be better now, but I once had an Epson printer cease to function after using non-standard ink (although that may have been coincidental).Read full review

Absolutely bloody brilliant 👍
When I was thinking of buying this refurbished printer I was a little put off by the low price (under £19), thinking it would be a case of 'you get you pay for'! Was I pleasantly surprised? Yes I was. This is an absolutely bloody brilliant machine, so easy to set up. Within 15 minutes I was printing my first printouts scanning my first documents and feeling stupidly pleased with myself for buying this little cracker. I recommend this to you. If you are after a machine that takes up very little desk space and with excellent full colour printing, this is the one for you.Read full review
