Unnecessary for normal use.

The Scottish Water expert on septic systems said these are really not necessary in most instances because the septic tank should produce enough bacteria to digest the waste material naturally. liquid levels will rise and fall depending on rainfall. The best way of gauging how full a septic tank is, is to use a dipstick. The level of sludge in the bottom will show up easily. I could feel where the sludge began and where the bottom of the tank is.

He recommended not using lots of strong bleach or other cleaners because these will destroy the natural bacteria balance in the tank. These tablets would be useful to restart a tank that has been bleached out.

I have put several of these tabs down the toilet, per instructions and not noticed any difference for the better or worse.Read full review

These tablets are gr8 I would never believed such a small tablet would be so gr8.
I have a treatment plant for my house and it was beginning to smell. I blame the over use of bleach because I had exactly the same treatment plant in my last house and no problems with that.
So I bought another for this and after a while it started to smell really bad all through the house it was horrible.
So I purchased these tablets to see I was sceptical tbh but I was desperate and they are fantastic the smell was gone in a few days.
I don't know how they would work on a septic tank but I definitely would give them a try.
But all i would say is because it's not a mains sewage system take care of what you put into a private system and try to not put any bleach which will alter the balance of good bacteria.
But if your tank is smelly use this treatment 1st.

Easy and seems to keep things flowing!

Seemed to do the trick.
Had a problem septic tank at my late fathers. Rodded then drain cleaner and seemed a little better but not great.
Used Envii Klear with a bit of hope about 3 months ago.<br>Seems like the blockage into the tank has cleared and to this time things seem to be working as they should.

Excellent product

I’ve used this product for s couple of years now having been recommended it by a neighbour.

We started to find that every now and then we’d notice a nasty niff that seemed to linger around the area above our septic tank. When really bad it seemed it was coming through the plug holes in the bathroom and toilet.
