Passion by Elizabeth Taylor is a Oriental fragrance for women. Passion was launched in 1988. Top notes are Aldehydes, Coriander, Gardenia, Artemisia, Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot and Lily-of-the-Valley; middle notes are Spicy Notes, Sandalwood, Honey, Tuberose, Patchouli, Heliotrope, Orris Root, Cedar, Jasmine and Rose; base notes are Incense, Civet, Leather, Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Musk, Cedar, Vanilla and Coconut.
Lovely perfume. Please note it is a purple coloured liquid, so don't spray on clothes and fabrics as it may stain them.Read full review

Elizabeth Taylor 'Passion'

Hello from Deco Dawn this is my review of Elizabeth Taylor "Passion". My first impression from the Packaging and the shape and design of the bottle was 'Art Deco' it could be from the Golden Hollywood Era, a gift from Howard Hughes to his many loves including Katherine Hepburn, Rita Hayworth, Bette Davis, Ginger Rogers ....
I am sure when Elizabeth Taylor designed this fragrance she thought about the classic 'Art Deco' Era. Cleopatra was the huge film when she met and famously fell in love with Richard Burton whom she married and divorced twice and there was a rumour they were to marry for the 3rd time but sadly he died. They were both married at the time when they met and it caused a huge 'scandal' at the time.
This fragrance is so Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra. She has encapsulated all emotion and love and it is as it says on the box! Full of 'Passion'.
Top notes - Aldehydes,Mandarin,bergamot, citrus es,
Mid - ylang-ylang, honey, Rose,Jasmine, Tuberose.
Base - Vanilla, Sandlewood,oakmoss,patchouli, Musk
I have yet to test Bal a Versailles so I cannot make a comparison however ET Passion does resemble 'Givenchy Ysatis which was launched in 1984, 4 years earlier than 'Passion'. The box design shape of the bottle is similiar and fragrance notes are almost identical.
