King of Chorus

I’ve owned this twice. Had an MXR analog chorus but this thing blows the competition out of the water. Gets many sounds from 80s Police to “Black Hole Sun” Leslie warble. Mixes well with distortion for Frusciante’s BSSM tone.Read full review

Great sound, cheap components

I love the sound of this pedal- but it has a bad foot switch or something. Every time I turn it on or off it makes a huge popping noise that could literally damage your speakers- I have to put my amp in standby before I turn it on or off. So, it's sort of useless- if the song has this effect all the way through it and I can get a chance to flip my amp into standby, turn it on, flip my amp back on- then I can use it. I use it in studio pretty often- but not live. I expected better form EHX- they're a huge, well-established company- but they use cheap, crappy foot switches. Even the EHX pedals I have that don't make this noise- the footswitch is really clanky and awkward- you have to make sure you push it down hard and feel that "click" under your foot. Sturdy with a smaller than standard footprint (but not quite a mini-pedal). Good chorus tone. A rotary knob for intensity would have been better than a switch, though.
