Einhell 4513860 TE-CD18BN 18V 3Cordless Brushless Impact Drill

I chose this one (from the herd of similar looking drills on the market)

Well featured and uses the shared battery system that powers other Einhell and Ozito items already owned. It is a little on the heavy side even without the battery fitted. Unusual in drills nowadays the unit has a gearbox to help with high torque requirements. This is addition to the more commonplace electronic trigger control for speed. There must be some other clever electronics inside to bestow brushless operation from a DC battery.. This leads to the one llingering concern which is whether the electronics overall are robust enough to survive the abuse that the drill WILL receive.in its lifetime. Great multi use drill. Early days but seems up to most diy tasks.

Already use the Power X-Change battery system for a mower and hedge trimmer so it made sense to buy Einhell again and it saved me having to buy the drill with batteries/charger. Exactly what I was after, a multi use drill/driver with hammer action (for those tough masonry tasks). Forward/reverse function and two speed. Brushless gearbox should see plenty of longevity. Extra support handle is good and feel ergonomic in hold. Very pleased with my purchase. A shame no plastic protective case included but bought one separately.Read full review
