Very good value, battery lasts for ages, light flashes (unobtrusivley) to tell you it's working
I put one in the hall and one on the landing outside my bedroom.
They flash reassuringley to tell you they are working, and don't go off for no apparent reason like my previous alarms did.
I haven't heard their alarm yet though as there's been no smoke near them.

Complete package, simply does the job.
As nice as it'd be to have some curved walnut, or spun titanium, this is a smoke detector so it's a cheapy-looking white plastic object - just like any other smoke detector.
They're cheap, less than three quid each in this twin pack, and they sit there up out of sight - and out of mind - ready and willing to save your life if something goes wrong (i test mine whenever a utilities bill comes in, just gives me a way of remembering).
This particular one comes with all you need - including battery and screws, so on opening the box you can fit and forget there and then. Perfect.Read full review
