Dyson DC 24 brush head motor change.

Motor arrived very quickly. It was quick and easy to fit, no issues. Motor works as expected and vacuum cleaner back in service. Job done.

It's good but not perfect

This motor isn't a genuine dyson part, but neither is it's price, so you will get what you pay for. The last motor lasted about two years, so not too bad that said the dyson original wasn't much better hence a repair. If your capable of replacing this part then swapping the end won't be an issue but will catch you out just after you complete the final bits of reassembly you will find the Bushnell doesn't fit anymore. Just swap the drive end of the motor job done. That would be my only criticism, include a note to mention the modification.Read full review

Brush motor replacement

Got our Dyson operational again quickly. Requires T8 and T10 star head screwdrivers to dismantle head - just watch video. If using existing brush and it is older model Dyson the square projection on the drive spindle needs to be cut off with a hacksaw - might be simpler to buy new brush at same time.Read full review

The unit was easy to install and my vacuum was up and running quickly. I dd have to exchange the drive gear for the brush from the old assembly which was verry easy. Over all it was a pleasant experience to repair the vacuum instaed of shelling out $500 for a new one.Read full review

The motor fits OK, but the brush drive mechanism is different to the original fitting. I had to swap the drive for the old one. It now works fine.
