Dyson DC14 Animal Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner

Dyson DC14 - best Dyson model, IMO

When my beloved, 13+ year old Dyson DC7 needed $200 in repairs, I needed to borrow a friend's vacuum to get me by one week. She had a DC14 bought in 2005 (last year made, I think?). I had recently hired a cleaning service to do my floors when I was going through a difficult time & unable to do it all. The cleaning service said this borrowed DC14 was "awesome!" That made an impression on me so I went looking on-line. Could only find used ones as they were discontinued some years ago.

This particular purchase was the right one! Definitely clean, strong, tight, in great shape for a great price w/ free shipping. The item was very well packed. I purchased late on a Wednesday night & estimated delivery was for the next Tuesday. The item arrived before noon on Friday!! Wow - literally the fastest shipping I've had on an ebay purchase ever (& for a very large item, not a little pair of earrings in a first class envelope or something like that)!

Wonderful vacuum... Great used condition

This is the 3rd Dyson Animal Vacuum I've owned. I lost the first one to my spouse in a divorce and obtained a used one that was pretty beat up to replace it in my new life. Because the parts are plastic it is possible to break them if it is misused... Say you throw it off of a truck or something like that. The main housing for the beat up one I purchased as my second Dyson cracked badly ... So this is my 'like new' replacement. The reason I am buying an identical unit is that these are great! What was I doing before?? It wasn't vacuuming, until DYSON.

I am a vacuuming nut. I've used nearly every brand and fell in love with a Fantom Cyclone which is nearly 20 years old. Nothing beat it till I found DYSON. My mom had one for 17 years before I used it and when I brought it home to my house, I don't believe I wasted so many YEARS thinking I was Vacuuming. That Dyson D14 animal blew me away. I have not been made a fool of in many years and to see that I did this to myself. Even worse. In fact, in research, I found another review like mine here and that is what changed my mind. I hope if you are looking for a real vacuum, I suggest a Dyson or Shark. Depending on how much one is willing to spend, one can even look for an older model. It meets all my expectations and more. My carpet is 21 years old (very well cared for) and this Dyson has brought new life to it. In fact, I am excited to shampoo it this year, I haven't had a deep down clean in so long. This Dyson vacuum cleaner is a GREAT vacuum cleaner!

I have had my own Dyson DC14 Animal Vacuum Cleaner for over 12 years and have NEVER had a problem with it. When my church needed a new one I recommended one like mine but the company no longer makes them so I went on Ebay and found one. It is AWESOME!
