Don't whip cream without it! Even if you are not keeping the whipped cream over night (or longer), it improves the body and is a must if you add liquid flavors (like maple syrup or jam) since it absorbs moisture. One 8-10g packet is just right for a pint of cream. Don't worry, the exact ratio of cream to Sahnesteif (WhipIt in other packaging) is not critical.
