Overlooked masterpiece

An overlooked album, probably due to the musical climate at the time. Grunge/alternative was the trend and Warrant was considered a hair band, which I always laugh at that title. Yeah, they played hard rock/metal and they had hair, lol. People were probably expecting Cherry Pie part 2, but this album is a masterpiece, and is heavy. The songwriting and the lyrics that Jani wrote for this record are incredible! April 2031 anybody? Pretty damn prophetic, scarily so, and that's just one song. I highly recommend this album if you don't already have it and passed on it originally, like I did. Nothing "glam" here, just killer rock and roll, with thought provoking lyrics and no filler. R.I.P Jani Lane. This is the album he should be remembered for, not Cherry Pie. Just get it!Read full review

BEST ALBUM - DOG EAT DOG

This album is by far the BEST album by Warrant... I highly recommend it to others... This is from when they knew how to make music, & write lyrics, thanks mainly to a musical genius we have now lost, but whose music & words still exist for us to enjoy forever... Mr. Jani Lane otherwise known as "Ozzie" or John was indeed THE ICON of his time, & this album is EPIC... Do yourself a favor & get it for yourself & find out what good rock n roll was really all about...Read full review

Excellent album!

This is, in my opinion one of Warrant's best albums. Love the first 2 heavier tracks (Machine Gun, Hole in my Wall). All songs are great to listen to and rock out! Quicksand and Bonfire are two more favorite songs. Great lyrics. Couple of slower songs I enjoy too (Bitter Pill, Let it Rain, Sad Theresa). Only one song I dislike.. Andy Warhol was Right. I can do without that one... Regardless of that one song, the whole album is excellent! Jani Lane is a talented song writer and musician, as evident in this album. He wrote the whole thing. He is a genius with some of these melodies. Rest in peace Jani. You are missed. I recommend this album! One of my all time favs!Read full review

Excellent

I loved Warrant & Jani Lane but had only heard their first 2 cds. This cd is musically a bit different from the first two, but not a total departure. It is in my cd player, on repeat.
