Perfect for our needs

Perfect as a secondary heat source for the summer. Looks attractive on the open hearth when our open fire is not in use. The propeller which circulates to give the fire effect was a little sticky to start but works well after use. Very happy and would certainly recommend this product.Read full review

Disappointed

Bought this as replacement for a similar style Dimplex Fire used for the last 35 years, but 2 or 3 faults happening during the last three years, and I am past doing the repairs. Original brand owners built to quality, present owners obviously down to price. But build standard adequate; in China! The picture gives a fairly accurate impression of its appearance. But the so-called "flicker effect" is laughable, but sad. The upper back plate receives a pleasant glow towards each end, but in the centre a large, madly rotating, black disc, with radiating red lines wizzing round. There is very little glow showing in the log effect. I have to wonder whether there is a design or manufacturing fault or item omission. It is not unusual nowadays for the actual manufacturers to economise by leaving out things that were designed in! But it does the job of top up radiant heat in my sitting room for me, and I think at my age it should see me out! (I should, perhaps, mention that I am a Chartered Electrical Engineer!)Read full review

A traditional electric two bar fire to back up central heating. Silent in use but like any electric heating will hike your bills. The gold colour trim is far too shiny so I shall paint it matte black. The 'logs' can be on independently of the bars.Read full review
