Good ideal from Definitive Technology but need to come up with a solution to prevent subwoofer damage.

I love Definitive Technology BP series. The balance of the sound and integrated sub-woofer both are great ideas. Don't need the space for sub-woofer just feels wonderful. The only and major problem is the amp some how goes bad for no apparent reason. I had three so far and the replacement amps are not cheap. You will see a lot of these BP series with non-working sub-woofer amps. One of my friends bought a set with sub-woofer amp problem very cheap and use them with external subwoofer speaker, which works perfectly.
I have owned BP7005, 2002, 8040 they all sound very nice.Read full review
