Good looking and feels far better quality than any plastic.
Great finish with the Micalite looks gorgeous. Metal has its pros and cons, it may be too heavy for some but will always boil faster than a plastic kettle and it gives a better overall feel of quality.
By comparison the base is light and doesn't initially lie flat without the kettle on it and doesn't have the same feel of quality of the kettle itself.
The water level indicator could have done with having a 'bob' to make it more clear and perhaps have been more offset from the handle. The handle itself is very easy to grip and comfortable.
I'm a big fan of Delonghi products in general and despite the little niggles I'm extremely happy with this purchase at the price I paid. It sits smartly next to my prized Delonghi Perfecta coffee machine.Read full review

Good value and Top quality
This is my second Di Longhi kettle and I love them, believe me I have more cups of tea than most people so the kettle is never off. I got well over 6 yrs out of my last one and know for a fact cheaper kettle only last half as long so it's worth paying a little more. Fabulous purchase
This is a replacement kettle and exactly the same one as I had previously. I bought the same one as I have a matching toaster which is still working. I paid double the price for my previous kettle to what I did for this one but it was well worth it as it has lasted me 10 years and the reason it broke was totally my own fault. I have real stone tiles and as I was putting the kettle on its holder I was sometimes banging it against the wall which eventually led to the kettle leaking. Having said that it was still boiling. Here’s hoping that my recent purchase gives me the same length of service. As I said I paid double first time round and I thought 10 years service at that price was exceptionally good so the fact I’ve paid half the price for this one is even better. Best kettle I have ever had
This is my second kettle of this model, colour and design. I bought my first one about 15 years ago, it has been used numerous times every day, the switch is starting to click off too early but as the kettle has taken a life of hard work it was time for another.
