Modern looking with good performance
This is my second Delonghi bean to cup and it does exactly what you'd expect. It makes both long and espresso coffee to a great standard and is easy to use, set up and clean. The unit is smaller than my last machine, fits into the kitchen well and whilst its size means I need to fill up with water and coffee more often, it still makes the most of the coffee that I buy. I rarely use the steam function, but it does work well if you want frothy coffee. The buttons and controls are very modern looking and as they are "touch" they are easier to keep clean. Easy to set up, just read the instructions! So nice to have a fresh brewed coffee every morning, a lovely lockdown ritual
Great features, especially that you can select either beans or ground, so the decaff lovers in the house can be catered for. Just remember to have the machine switched on before putting the ground coffee in.

does what it says on the box
The water filter is an expensive luxury needing changing regularly. As I have a water filter tap I left it in the box.
The water softness is set to very hard, I reset mine to very soft as the de scaler alarm seems to be a calculated indicator based on number of brews and the hardness setting.
Put a cup on the drip tray all the time to collect the water when the machine self cleans at switch on and when it goes into standby mode.Read full review...

Cheering me up in lockdown
Now that I can't leave the house as much, I decided to invest in a bean to cup coffee machine, to give at least a taste of going out
I spent hrs searching the internet, and this model definitely came out top of the reviews. However i was still nervous about the price.
Finding these restored versions was perfect! A fraction of the price, and the one I received had no signs of damage - the box was maybe a bit bruised, but all the contents were there, and it was worked perfectly.
Once you wrap your head around the red lights and what they mean, it's really easy to use.
I have set the grind firmness, the strength, and the temperature, and now ifs just point and click.
The frother is a lot better than I expected - lovely strong foam really quite quickly.
