Great Planer and a very good price
This planer is a great buy. The multiple blades create an almost silky smooth surface, combined with the excellent power and secure roller system the results are very high quality. Great planer
This thing provides a super smooth finish on the wood. It is really easy to get up and running. The only problem I had is while adjusting the height of the machine one of the plastic caps got caught and broke off but this didn’t effect anything. Designed to last with every feature possible.
Unlike most lg (cheap jobsite tools) this is a tool thats made to last. It is worth the money because it will always be of value down the road. I found it for $455 with extra knives and flolding supports. I got a deal. But i should have purchased this projects ago when they beat up the other 12-1/2” planers. It also shoots the cuttings so hard that even if u dont turn on the dust collection system it will still push them into the bag!! A very well thought out tool. I love using my new DeWalt Planer!
My new DeWalt Planer is a beast, you'll want to wear ear and eye protection. I also recommend some sort of dust collection system. It performs exactly as described, maybe even better. Board snipe is always a problem. I am very pleased that snipe is limited with this machine. The infeed and outfeed tables are hefty. Picking up this machine is no instant deal because it is heavy at almost 100 lbs. I wasn't going to put it on a stand, but I might have to go ahead and get one. Shear mass makes woodworking far more accurate. It's also very quiet compared to my last two planers. I will also flip for the optional aftermarket spiral head cutter. Dewalt dw735 planer W/table extensions
One gets what he (or she) pays for. While a little pricey, this Dewalt dw735 planer is an absolutely wonderful and indispensable piece of woodshop equipment. Some previous raters have talked of a high level of noise emitted by this tool. I find this is not at all the case. While one should wear ear protection while operating most all equipment, I find I am perfectly comfortable this equipment without such ear protection. You do need use table extensions and a straight edge in order to eliminate snipe. This produces excellent results.Read full review...
