Affordable and versatile flashlight.
High brightness, stable when in place, can rotate head to place light beam where needed, emits little heat. Also serves well as a hand held walk around flashlight. It can be hung near an outside door for convenient access at night due to included metal hanging strap. There is a large selection of DeWalt 20 volt batteries to use, and many of us already have various sizes of those batteries. The light beam has a reach of several hundred feet.This light is well designed, versatile, and appears to be built with high quality. Title implies that the flashlight is "new". There's a million flashlights on the market. I can't imagine anything "new" about Dewalt's.
Pro:
Works with my other Dewalt 20V batteries. Puts out a good overall light stream, good meaning not so bright that it's blinding, but strong enough to kill shadows.
Con:
Doesn't swivel around. Other than fore to aft, you have to stop and move the flashlight. Not a major annoyance, but sometimes working in tight quarters does make that inconvenient.
A bit overpriced for a flashlight even if the brand is Dewalt.
No belt or side clip.
Summary:
Unless you have a supply of Dewalt batteries already, there may be better choices.

You'll never be happy with a different light.
This light is so bright! The head swivels, there is a hook and if you just sit it down, the battery is heavy enough to hold the light in position. Some might like it to have a magnet, but I found the light is so bright, even if it's aimed in the general direction of your work, there's plenty of light.
The LED uses so little power that it could be left on all day on a full charge. The light has enough power to light things ahead of you in an attic or basement. The light is cool to the touch. Since it is a LED type "bulb", there is no filament to burn out if you drop it.
What's not to like? I haven't found anything yet. I use it everyday. Even the bright yellow body with the grippy coating is helpful in finding the thing and holding on to it too. I own just about every 20 volt Max DeWalt tool there is. So all the batteries interchange effortlessly with this light.
OK, it is a little pricey, but some tools are worth their weight in gold. I'm happy!Read full review

Very nice product!
Purchased this for Father's Day, to replace his older incandescent DeWalt light. This one is much brighter and offers the neat metal hook. I will say that it is a bit expensive, but offers a decent light, and excellent brand name with it.

Lightweight with Durability
This worklight is lightweight, durable and easy on the wrists. Perfect for both large/small projects or everyday use. The LED light provides a strong beam even during low battery. The bright yellow color of the light makes it easy to find. The only con to this is the inability to change the width of the beam. The best possible choice, that's not saying much.
I was looking for a flashlight that works with the set of rechargeable batteries I already have for my screw guns, saw, trimmer, etc. The alternatives; 1. a flashlight that runs on non-rechargeable batteries (incredibly wasteful and irresponsible consumer choice), 2. a flashlight that runs on rechargeable batteries that don't hold a charge over time and wear out their charge cycle in a few months (incredibly wasteful and irresponsible consumer choice, green-washing at best), 3. a flashlight with a built in rechargeable battery and yet another recharging station that needs to be plugged in or gets lost easily (perpetuating the cycle of unnecessary things, a flotsam of waste), or 4. no flashlight at all; are unacceptable.
I have no idea how long the non-replaceable LED light will last, I assume not forever. Read full review

DEWALT DCL040 20 V LED
The LED arrived ahead of schedule in original package. A perfect tool with extended battery life. Excellent for emergencies as we always have at least two 100% charged batteries on hand. It would be great if Dewalt would include a USB outlet.
