My old air gun gets beaten by a true heavyweight!

Have bought a couple of these in the past and was totally underwhelmed with them, especially the bosch unit I bought which would struggle taking skin off a rice pudding.

On a recent visit to a local tyre dealer, they were using these constantly with a stream of batteries and chargers and they said that there's nothing better for wheel nuts than these.

Heavy duty Impact torque wrench

Why did I wait so long?

I have been working on cars for most of my adult life partly as a hobby and partly because I'm tight. I have a dewalt drill and seen the batteries fits in these, reasonable cost. Took the plunge as I had some ball joints and hub nuts that needed doing, what can i say. Amazing. Even with the wee 2.0 batteries this is a champ. De Walt 'rattle gun'

I own two Ducati motorcycles and both have single sided swinging arms ... thus in both cases a single big nut holds the rear wheel in place. Now this nut is torqued up to 235Nm and is virtually impossible to remove with a 1/2 inch breaker bar. Hence the need for a high-start torque 'rattle gun' and with this DeWalt gun it literally laughs at the challenge ... I no longer fear this nut and love this wonderful gun!Read full review
