I bought this as an alternative to the heavier hardback complete volume, with a view to splitting up the books, and taking them abroad, in stages, to my granddaughter ( I travel light).

I didn't realise that the books are paperback, and the illustrations would be in black and white). I don't recall that these facts being in the description. If not, they should have been, and I probably wouldn't have bought this set.Read full review
