I have used D'Addario EJ16-3D Strings many times before, they are my go to strings for my acoustic needs. They also sound good through my acoustic amplifier and always a great sound when played unplugged. They have a decent life on them too but this does depend on how much you play of course, I play 2 to 3 hours on and off each day. I would always recommend these great strings.Read full review

Good with resevations

These strings were to replace some very light gauge strings on an epiphone acoustic guitar. The original strings (ultra light 10.47) could sound a bit jangly at times and as epiphone dont recommend heavy gauge strings for this guitar I bought these at 12.53 gauge. They are quite bright but when bedded in give a more balanced sound than the originals. The jangly sound has been replaced with a bright forward sound and most of the jangliness? has gone. I prefer D'addario strings and have used them for many years.

I use EJ17s on my dreads, jumbo, and archtops and Ej16s for 000 and smaller. Generally consistent, buut D'addario replace any problematic items - Price increases very disturbing.

EJ16 Acustic guitar strings (12 guage)
