So Far, Mostly Good

I have used Evercryl before and I hadn't been particularly impressed. However, I needed an emergency repair to a fibreglass roof in weather that was unlikely to be warm enough for fibreglassing. Thought I'd give Cromapol a try. Applied it with a brush on the first dry day - wiped surplus water off the roof, dried it and roughened slightly with sandpaper. It was easy enough to apply and the surface looked good. The fairly major leaks were stopped and there remains some very minor leakage. I may apply a second coat when the weather is optimum to see if I can get a completely dry roof.Read full review

Best roof repair paint available

Wow, this Cromapol paint is definitely the best quality roof repair paint you can get. I've tried other brands from wickes and B&Q, but they were rubbish. I've used this to seal my workshop roof as it was leaking here and there. Since applying cromapol 3 years ago my workshop roof has never leaked. I've ordered another tin as the lead flashing on my house roof needs sealing and I know this cromapol paint will fix it. Read full review

Cromapol paint.

It is difficult to tell at present whether it is perfect but it has been raining very badly in Aberdeen for two days and the roof of my leaky shed is totally waterproof. I don't of course know how long this will last but it certainly looks and feels just the job. It is difficult to stir and you really require a drill driven device to do this and even then it can be tough to get a good mix. It is pretty much impossible to clean your brush/roller/mixing tool so be prepared to throw all these away. Overall it appears to do the trick and the paint seems extremely robust. 15 years - we shall wait and see. I have previously used their water based bitumen and it was and is extremely excellent.Read full review

Brilliant At Waterproofing.

This is a fantastic product,i have a garage roof that has been leaking everywhere for years,the cost of a new roof was very expensive,so i did some research,and decided to give cromapol a go,i purchased enough to do the whole roof,it was easy to apply,and i put on four coats,it goes a long way,it takes a while to cure,but we have had some very heavy rain,and there is not one single leak anywhere,the garage has dried right out,and now i can start using it properly again,after years of taking ruined stuff to recycling,i am over the moon,and so pleased,i would highly recommend this product,and if i need to use it again in the future,i will definately be buying some more.Read full review

Perfect Sealant

Does exactly what is needed. Fibrous content allows large gaps to be bridged. Must be applied in a generous, thick layer to be effective. Waterproof immediately. Needs time to set. Never gets completely hard and dry. This is no ordinary paint. It is designed for a specific purpose and it does it very well. Cheaper and much better than similar products. Available in four colours. Only two reflect ultra violet light. One does not contain fibres, so study the product before purchase and choose wisely.Read full review
