Cobra Electronics Rad 350 Radar and Laser Detector

I've had a bunch of cobra radars, mainly just to test. For the money, this is the best you can get if you don't want one that speaks to you. The Rad450 is a step up if you want voice but is nearly twice as pricey. The ultimate Cobra with voice and best range is the dsp 9200 bt.

Back to the rad350, the ivt/bsm tech works well to avoid most falses. It only k falses when pointed directly at store's auto door openers. Rarely Acura MDXs and other Chevy suvs occasionally set off a false k. But if u see a ka alert. Take my advice- Hit the brakes! The range is decent. Usually, you have a between a quarter and half mile notice, depending on terrain/obstacles, before radar can pick up your speed. Plenty of time to slow your roll.

Cobra Rad 350 Laser Radar detector

This radar detector has been set up following the directions to the letter for each type of speed detection device it is supposed to alert on and this detector has no alert whatsoever with volume on full and multiple alert set up, testing and activation of each band it detects.

It doesn't work, I've read the instructions over and over again and tried to get it to work for weeks.

I'm not happy. It was sealed in the box it came in. I couldn't tell if it had been re-packaged or not. Read full review

One of the best

Of course you can spend couple hundred bucks and get some "state of the art" radar detector, but... To be honest, you will not get much better in terms of real performance. You will get some bells and whistles like gps tracking, live updates and some other stuff which you get from Google maps or Waze, but as far as real radar and Laser detection Rad 350 is the best bang for your buck IMO.Read full review

Hopefully it works

It doesn't go off constantly when hitting street lights or shopping centers. Have not experienced any radar detection yet with police radar guns. Hopefully, it will work.

Not Very Loud

Like everything about it, except I don't know why they bothered to put a volume control on it. Even with volume set at 10 you have to keep the music low or off. That's how quiet it is. If you like to rock out or your car is noisy, you won't like this one. It does have a visual indicator, but it fails to catch my eye as it is not all that bright. Cobra worth the money

This cobra radar detector works perfectly, gives out a few false signals but it’s to be expected.. now the only issue with this radar detector is the volume, I have mine at max 10 and you can barely here the sound? I have never owned a cobra before so I’m not sure if that’s Normal or mine is defective? I did purchase this one with a damaged box so I don’t know?? If we can figure this issue out that would be great..

I bought this to replace an older model because the older one was constantly giving me false positives. This one seems to have circuitry that sifts through the signals that are not actually police radar (car blind-spot signals, traffic density signals) and I've only observed it to go off when a cop was in the area.
