Great fan, great features, poor base design.
This fan is a nice grey which makes it less intrusive than white and doesn't show the dust as much. It is not whisper quiet, but when you are moving a column of air through a grille that can't be helped.
I would have liked some instructions on what the 'modes' signify, but since I bought a 'customer returned' box maybe they got lost. I have no idea what 'natural' or 'sleep' means. I just leave it on low, enjoy the breeze and let the white noise lulll me to sleep.
I LOVE THE REMOTE! Such bliss to be able to change the speed, oscillation, or on/off switch without getting out of bed, or up from the desk. Being slim it takes up little room, though I would have liked it to be a bit taller but more importantly, more stable!
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the round base, upon which the fan revolves when oscillation, is very flimsy. It is in 2 halves which do not click firmly together or fit firmly into the column, and every time I move the fan they break apart and/or drop off, which makes it a pain to move. If they go, the whole thing will be useless.
The base is also not well finished underneath, so trying to drag the fan over the floor to avoid lifting it is not very successful either.
Apart from this, the fan functions very well, and I'm very happy I have it in this hot weather.Read full review

Refurbished Tower Fan
Tower fan arrived in you time however arrived damaged with the barrel fan broken off it's mounting at one end. I had the old one as was doing a like for like swap so I thought but new unit was slightly wider and the barrel fan in old one was bigger. Managed to fit and replace the fan with a bit of trimming but has very little power. At full speed has same power as old one at lowest speed. Very disappointed. Should have bought new from shop.Read full review

Good so far
So far, this fan is good...gives a decent breeze and is relatively quiet, in comparison to our last tower fan...just shows that paying a little extra, pays off!
I like the remote control function, reason I dropped it a star was cause I had to find some batteries for the remote, I’m sure given the price you’re paying for the fan, the seller could throw in some cheap batteries with it.
Only been using it for a couple of hours so far, so time will tell if it lasts...but in this weather I’m very grateful for the breeze.
And it doesn’t take up a lot of space, in the past we’ve had a pedestal fan and they take up much room, this fan does not!
The different timer settings are a big plus as well, so we don’t have to leave it on all night!
All in all, I’m happy with it!Read full review

Gret fan
Easy to put the stand on, less than 5 minutes. It's so quiet you'd forget it was there, if it didn't work so well. Cools you down almost immediately, and as it comes with a remote you don't even break sweat getting up to turn it on and off. If you do buy one make sure you buy batteries as well as the remote doesn't come with any in it. Could do with a bit longer lead as well but other than that it's great.Read full review

Challenge 3 speed tower fan.
Really good tower fan with a good price. Remote control unit does every function on the fan without getting up lol. All you have to do is screw the base to the fan and put batteries in the remote then good to go.Read full review

Rubbish!
I bought two of these for our bedroom. One of them stopped blowing cold air after only 1 day and, more alarmingly, it started to give of a burning smell and its getting rather hot to touch near the base. Just hope the second one lasts a bit longer but I am worried about leaving it running during the night now.Read full review

Bad design of grill that induce noise.
Works and more air volume than previous versions of 5 years ago, too noisy for recommendation. I believe the output grill is badly designed such that it produce excessive noise. I have stop the air in but baffle it with a tower and the only noise is the rotor impeller which is quiet.Read full review

Great fan and great value.
This fan does exactly what it says and does it beautifully. I bought this after one of my original fans finally gave up the ghost and during the hot weather I needed something quiet and easily portable around my home and the added benefit of the remote control just makes this fan even better value. It is whisper quiet and sleek enough to fit in any area. I have used it all over my home during the hot weather and it works fantastically. The different modes allow me to vary the performance of the fan and with the remote I can change it in an instant. Would recommend it for anyone looking for a great product at a brilliant price.Read full review

Take the Challenge
I bought this as it was the only one I could lay my hands on, I have another which is almost twice the price of this fan, however my Snobbery has been put to the test and proven wrong. Yes the challenge does feel a little cheap with the nasty remote and hard plastic buttons and it’s blurred cheap red LED.s
But ! It has all the Same functions as my expensive one , it does a Stirling job it’s so far so quiet . The expensive one fan is rattling it creaks when oscillating which can be annoying when your trying to sleep if your a light sleeper.
I’m actually really impressed by this challenge fan I’d take my expensive one back if they had any to exchange it with .
I’d actually recommend it over the expensive stuff. A true bargain . Read full review

Rubbish
So flimsy it wobbles when oscillating, I daren't pick it up by the handle for fear of breaking the oscillating mechanism. You have to have the fan really close to get any benefit from it, the fact it came with a TV remote was silly. Would not recommend I've had to go and buy another fan. Read full review
