Best watch ever!
I'm a very picky watch person but have always gone with Casio watches that last longer then other brands on the market. The Rangeman 9400 came into production in 2013 which was the first G Shock triple sensor in production. I wanted this watch for many yrs but I have learned to wait because every released production yr Casio improves the watch to fix flaws and firmware for top functionality and accuracy. Mine I just received was this yrs production and I'm so far really impressed! I've used it to navigate by map setting points and never have been lead astray. The watch goes through modes without delays, everything loads fast including the sensor data. The nice feature is that the compass information will stay active 60 seconds instead of previous triple sensors that only stayed active 20 seconds. Also calibrating the compass has never been so easy to perform. I'm really happy with my G Shock purchase and look forward to long yrs of use. A little tip to those who have corrosion issues or watch band issues. 1. Never shower with your watch or wash dishes with dish soap. 2. Never wear watch while working around or near chemicals. Shower wash, detergents or other cleaning chemicals will absolutely destroy a watch! If you've ever took time to read your Casio watch book it clearly says to never use around chemicals. But hey it's your $300.00 watch so take care of it as carelessly as you want but don't ever blame Casio for your mistakes. Read full review

Casio Rangemaster
Very big and thick. I guess my wrist is an odd size, as the holes in the strap are either too loose or too tight for my liking. I love the functions on the watch and the display is easy to read, but due to how the watch fits, I just let it sit. If you wear a long sleeve shirt to work this watch will stick out like a sore thumb. It's more of a weekend watch when you really don't need one. I would say find something not as thick and bulky. Feature rich, intuitive interface, all the features you could want.
I've owned Casio's for a very long time. My previous watch was a Casio, but lacked the atomic time signal, and the ability to recharge with sunlight. It also had a blue background, which made the numbers difficult to see.
This one resolves all of those issues, and provides features I hadn't anticipated.
The interface is delightfully intuitive, while offering a surprising number of features.
So far, I'm loving it.Read full review

Saved about $120 over Amazon...
This is one fine watch from Casio. After I received it, I set it up for my time zone and then waited for it to catch up. It didn't take long. It was showing medium charge when I opened it up. I left it near a window facing North for a day. Fully charged, and the Atomic clock signal was collected. The stop watch and count down timer are both intuitive to operated. The temperature offset is easy to manage once you know what you're doing. I love the Compass and Altitude functions. The barometric pressure reading was a pleasant surprise, and everything functions as it should. Very nice, stylish watch from Casio. I've been wearing them for 40 years. Never been disappointed.Read full review

This is a watch you can trust to be at your side no matter what.
Strong, comfortable, stylish, and full of features. The screen is easy to read with the normal display (I had purchased the same model with the negative display but couldn't read the display). All the features work well and the triple sensors are accurate. The watch feels very comfortable for a larger rugged watch. I specifically bought this watch so that I could have all of its features in a rugged watch and never have to worry about damaging it or needing to take it off for certain activities. I have not taken it off since I bought it or felt like I needed to. As weird as it sounds I feel like I trust this watch. I have not owned another watch where I can truly say I didn't have to worry about hurting it or if it would function in any situation. This is a watch you can trust to be at your side no matter what.Read full review

If you could only have one G-Shock, this is it.
This thing has been reviewed to death on the internet for close to a decade now. All I can say is, it's as good as they say it is. Looking for a one watch G-Shock? This is the one you should pick. If there is one"con" I'd say it's the backlight. This no longer has that really cool blue-green EL (electroluminescence) light, having an LED instead. Not a deal breaker for sure but it would've been nice to have a classic EL instead..Read full review

great watch
I think this is a good product. I have been threw a number of casios but find this one to the be the best for the cost. I dont think the reading on altitude are correct. Not sure how to calibrate it. The only thing I think they should eliminate is the little circulur screen , it seems redundent. Would rather have larger script for data that shows on screen. The newer model has this removed. But I like the watch very well and would buy again if I wanted this mode. Read full review

great watch
I really enjoy the look of this watch as I wanted to get the green one but as I read the reviews that you could not see the face due to the black color, I opted for the black watch instead. The anodized red looks sharp and the ease of use is great whether you are changing world time while traveling or getting updated time from the atomic timekeeping. I was originally looking at the GPW series, and even know the global satellite is cool, to change timezones it really wasn't worth spending over 700 for that watch when you got more with this one. I love having all the features of the pro-trek in a g-shock and the steel buttons are not only functional but look great too.Read full review

G-Shock Gw-9400-1 watch review.
This watch is the best G-Shock I have opened. I love all the options i.e., triple-sensor, sunrise/sunset times, atomic time setting, and all the standard G-Shock functions.
I do wish it had the moon. And tide data, and the GPS option. Although that would rise the price (dramatically), it would be my ultimate watch. I also wish the U.S. based watch had a carbon fiber band. The Gulf master comes close but the Rangeman has a better look and style.
You just can't go wrong with this watch. Read full review

Tons Of Features
An excellent time piece, If you are purchasing brand new be sure to let charge in sun (mine took two days) for it to work effectively I.E. Atomic RC signal etc, Would like the wristband to be a bit more thicker like my mudmaster but over all great watch for all the features you are getting Read full review

It is one of the best contributions Casio has to offer!!
I was really lucky to find it in a very good price! As a G shock, it is big and bulky, but that does not matter! This watch has a lot of fun features. I changed the wrist band to personalize it. After some day of full charging the battery finally moved to high. This is one of my favorite watches in my collection.Read full review
