Carvin Caravan Motorhome 43liter Leisure 3 Way Absorption Fridge

Happy campers with this superb little fridge.

I'm not going to waffle on about all the pros & cons of this fridge, but I just had to tell you all that if your looking for a cheap little fridge to keep your stuff cool while out camping then this is perfect, we used ours for the first time over the Easter weekend & we are impressed with how good it worked.
From all the other reviews I read I was expecting it to be not much better than a cool box but that was certainly not the case, we put 2 frozen ice packs in the fridge when we left home just to help it get down to temperature, then ran the fridge on the leisure battery while we were driving to our camp site then when we got there I changed it over to run on gas, ran it on full power for a couple of hours then switched it to low for the rest of the weekend, so from Saturday morning to Monday morning it was cold enough in the fridge that the ice packs were still frozen & didn't defrost until we took them out of the fridge Monday afternoon, & from what I can tell it doesn't seem to have used much gas either.

This very expensive fridge gets you by sa well as the price of it you also have 50 pounds on top of that for a flue that should in my view be included with the fridge there also another 24 pounds for gas fittings then theres the fitting which cost me 100 pounds so all told its cost 470 just for a fridge not even a small freezer when you think how much a domestic fridge freezer is this is quite a jokeRead full review

Nice fridge for the money

Nice little unit. However I recommend you fully open the box on delivery as mine had damage to the bottom from some sort of impact which I didn't spot until I unboxed it a week later. The fridge cools nicely and the thermostat works well on 240v. There is no interior light to the fridge, which I was aware of, but worth mentioning for those that aren't. Camping fridge

This is a great little fridge gets nice & cold when run on gas was smaller inside than i had expected from pictures, but i have just got back from a camping trip of 10 days straight i ran it on gas in a gazebo & it didn't miss a beat it was great even when there was a storm & it got very windy i thought it may blow out the flame but it carried on regardless i highly recommend this product i would just say that it is a little hard to light from cold on gas by that i mean it does take about five to ten minutes of trying but if your patient it is worth it.Read full review

Great little 3-way fridge.

Fridge works well, and, unlike many 3-way fridges, the pipework at the rear is protected by the metalwork of the fridge, so it's practical to use it for camping. I plan to add an expanded metal grid to the rear to further protect the pipework. You can install this fridge in a caravan as it has an optional flue if you'll be using it on gas.

I have used it on all three power sources. 12V does not have any adjustment, so I only use it to keep the fridge cold while on the move. 240V and gas have a temperature adjustment. Because it's an absorption-type fridge, the internal temperature is relative to the external temperature, so you do want to be able to adjust the temperature as otherwise you can get to deal with frozen blocks of orange juice and milk. Absorption-type fridges are not suitable for use in places where the ambient temperature is 35 degrees C, but in the UK, you easily get 3 to 5 degrees in all but the hottest heatwave.Read full review

This fridge looks well made and has a neat control panel. The interior is practically laid out and uses the space well. Nice little fridge

Had this caravan fridge now for over a twelve month, had my doubts about buying as I have never heard of the fridge before , but its been a little gem, well worth the money.

had it installed by a gas safe engineer. I left the fridge on for over 10hrs and its doesnt get cold so its absolutely rubbish. not worth buying
