Carly for BMW OBD2 wireless connector
This item is very necessary if you have Carly for BMW installed on your phone. After carefully following the set up instructions it works perfectly well and enables the software on the phone to easily communicate with the OBD2 system. I was able to adjust and alter various functions on my car as well as register a new battery which was the main reason I brought it.
The main snag is the price - which is far more then it is worth! There may be other much cheaper products which work with Carly software such as ELM but unfortunately I didn't have time to shop around.
My second issue is it's size. Although it fits well on to the OBD2 scart plug it is very difficult to disconnect since the scart is well recessed and I cant actually grab the connector firmly withought using a pair of grips! It would benefit from being at least twice the length.
That said it all works well and is manufactured to a good standard. It is by far a much easier system to use then other kinds of diagnostic software which require a pc and windows platform. Overall I am pleased with the Carly software and hardware.

Disappointing
A quality product but does very little our of the box. You have to pay an annual subscription just to get some basic functionality, like clearing error codes. For a third of the price you can get an equally good OBD2 scanner that will allow you to do so much more, without paying any extra.Read full review

Good but app pricey
Works well and I have no complaints technically, the issue is, other than regular diagnostic options the codings are a one off option you don't get new ones just turn on/off functions. For older cars this becomes pricey with the annual subscription. You can cancel it so no issues there.

Unlocks a lot of features to monitor and customize your car, just be mindful there is a year fee to use those features.

Carly universal ODB2
Works very well with BMW.for fault finding,resets and customisation.
Connectivity to other makes is very good but the customisation is not as good as with the BMW .

No more Bmw dealership light reset
Bought this as I had the dreaded dpf light coming on even though car works fine. Cleared the fault codes (you'll need the full app to do this by the way but worth it), done a 10-15min drive and light no longer pops up.
Also, done some simple coding such as speed on display and side mirrors comfort open/closing.
