Glad I purchased

Right now quite happy with this grinder, doing a great job so far, easy to use, and much less noise than my old one. As far as cleaning haven't tried to, but should not be a real problem.

Version 560.04 is improved over 560.01

Glad to read about the improvements in version 560.04 as I almost bought version 560.01 without knowing there was a better model out there. Number one on my list is that it is very quiet as far as grinders go. Grinds at 420rpm so doesn't heat the beans. Slow speed = less static = less noise. They all have static, this one is tolerably less.

Negative = 1960's clock spring timer to time how long (much) it grinds. May never get the same amount twice.Read full review

Quite pleased with this burr grinder. It’s quiet and does a good job. I use the fine and medium grind. If you need a very, very coarse grind you might be disappointed. But I did find it good for espresso, drip, pour over, and French press.Read full review

Can use for espresso

The 560.04 is sufficient for espresso grind. I tried the earlier model 560.01 and not fine enough. Whether or not the grind on the 560.04 at the fine level is as consistent (all particles the same size) as a +300$ grinder I don't know. Probably not. While the 560.04 normally discharges to a plastic holder for the ground coffee you can perfectly fit a 58mm portafilter into the discharge port and it can grind directly to the portafilter with minimal overspill. If you have a smaller portafilter it spills a bit too much. See my photo of portafilter placed into 560.04. Why Capresso does not advertise all this i don't know. This saves one step of grounds transfer. Also you can turn the time to grind to what you know works for your filter size based on the numbers for the grinding time. For the less than 100$ I spent on this grinder it is working well for espresso. Only issue is the grind adjustment is very sensitive at the fine grind level. A 1/8 inch turn on the dial makes too big of a difference in grind size. But overall great unit for espresso grind no regrets.Read full review

Great coffee grander, but needs a stronger cleaning brush

I love this coffee grinder. It is well made. If I could make one suggestion to make it even better, it would be to provide a better brush to clean the inside grinder. The bristles on the brush are far too soft to be of any effective use.Read full review
