Canon PIXMA Pro9000 MARK II Professional Inkjet Photo Printer (3295B002)

Great with a major limitation for users in the US

Everything about this printer is spectacular with one exception. The previous generation had the ability to change the country or origin settings to permit CD/DVD printing. This model has disabled that change. As such, the printer, while having the mechanical and software possibility to print on to discs (which I had hopes of doing again like my previous Pro9000 Mark II), is crippled. What ever the legal issues constraining Canon from offering this feature in America, selling a printer in this market with less than complete features (features that are offered elsewhere) is deceptive. I doubt I will buy another Canon pro model again that isn't fully functional.Read full review

Slow and steady

The machine does a fairly decent job but is exceedingly slow. Facial colors are a little flat. I does give vibrant color otherwise and the images are very sharp and clear on all papers I've tried (matte, gloss semi gloss, pro luster).Read full review

This one is replacing my pervious 9000 Mark II. At first thought to get the newer version but after looking at my drawer fill of ink, I decided why spend the big bucks on the newer model and have to buy all new ink. A printer for art projects

I bought this printer for the wide format. When I tried the printer I found it to a lot more than just a wide format machine. It is flexible for feeding all sizes of media up to 12 X18, and even able to feed stiff poster board. The fidelity to color, even on non-photo paper blew me away. The bonus for me is the type of cartridges which are the same as my other printer and which are refillable.

You have to be very careful not to let the cartridges run out of ink. The cooling on the print head is based on the liquid from the cartridges. If the cartridge ink runs dry, the print head or control board can burn up next time you turn the printer on.

This printer is no longer made by Canon, so getting a new manufacturer's print head or control board is impossible, but the print head is on eBay. The manufacturer says the Pixma Pro 100 is the replacement model.Read full review

great prints, good value

This printer functioned well out of the box. The printer I purchased was used, but came with ink cartridges installed. I have profiled the printer and prints are very good in quality and color. In checking ink prices, the replacement cartridges are pricey, but this is true with most printers these days. It will print 13x19 inch images which I wanted, and does this quite quickly. It is a large machine, so one would need to plan it's location.Read full review

Great Printer! A huge value to us!

I finally hooked my new color printer (Canon PIZMA PRO9000 MARK II) and began printing.

Getting the printer powered up and producing was a piece of cake. I am using a batch of Canon (expensive $$) ink cartridges to start with, but I have a good supply of replacement ink.
Print quality is outstanding.

Canon Pro 9000 Mark II Printer

This printer is excellent. Copy colors are great. Easy to use. The ONLY drawback is the large size but I knew that before I purchased it since I own the Pro 9000.
