Print Good, Setup Easy, Network Not So Much

Works great with fast print and quality photo. Setting up the network seems to be a little tedious. Once up and running stays reliable and stable. Overall good printer. A little pricey.

It's my 3rd Canon Pixma MX922

The only trouble is getting it to print my emails and from the internet. Apparently Google is interfering with that and I've taken it to a Computer specialist repair service to figure out the problem. It won't work with IE either. Didn't try Firefox, Mozilla and a couple others. I've never had this trouble before with my previous two PIXMA MX 922s. Read full review

A very good printer.

This is my second printer of this brand and model. I enjoyed my first one so much that when it finally wore out I bought another. This is a very good printer which never gives any trouble with jammed pages nor poor print quality.Read full review

Very Noisy and Very Slow Older Tech

I regret having spent $360 for this printer. It is a very noisy and slow printer. Since it has been in its original box for many years I had to change the ink cartridges in order to get quality color photos. I wish I had just returned it. I have since purchased a cheap ($109.99) Canon TR8520 which is quiet, efficient and does better at printing color photos (slightly sharper images when detail counts such as closeup of flower). MX922, the good, bad and ugly

This printer is a work horse. It just keeps gong, but like all printers these days, it has chips on the ink cartridges that monitor the ink levels and will shut the printer down when the chip thinks ink is low or out. There is a resetter you can get that resets the chip to full and you can fill the cartridges with aftermarket ink.
The big one is that the printer does not work on Wi-Fi with the latest fast (5G) routers. It recognizes the connection and says that it is connected but fails to make the actual connection.with your system. You are forced to use a cable connection and the cable is not supplied with the packaging. It has to be purchased separately.
I did a lot of research, but never found a work around with the Wi-Fi problem.

Great printer/scanner

I see this printer has some negative reviews but i find this to be a very good unit. It takes 5 separate ink cartridges unlike some canon models, so if you blow through blue but not yellow, you can only replace the one you used up. The print quality is very good for pics and documents. Good scanner. Has a feeder for making copies of a multi page document. It holds lots of paper. It can connect via cord or wifi. It easily prints from phones. It’s a fax machine too if you need that. I own two of these, one for each of my offices. The first one has lasted me many years, the second one i got used and it works perfectly. I tried to buy a new model from canon but they don’t currently offer anything like this, with all the features I’ve mentioned. Read full review

Struggle to setup.

Out of the box this used printer had two major drawbacks. The ink wells were dry and never did get it to print from my Windows 10 acer computer after several attempts. Days later cleaned the printer head, replaced the ink and LAD linked it to my Windows 7 dell computer via my router and it now seems OK. Was disappointed. Do not believe the printer driver functions with Windows 10, although the Cannon driver indicates it does. The printer arrived well boxed and undamaged with a power cord. Read full review

Good Printer

It's a little noisy, but I find that it's printing well. The scan feature is easy to use. I especially like the fact that you can get larger capacity ink refills.

Could use a rear paper feed

My old pixma had a rear paper feed and I could have both letter and legal available. Larger capacity ink tanks are welcome as is the paper tray for photos. Prints great photos just like you would get at a professional.Read full review

MX922 info

Had to download the printer drivers from the canon site before it would print wireless even though it said the printer found the access point and was ready to go.

The print quality is good and there is an aftermarket adapter that allows you to reset the chips in the ink cartridges so you can refill the ink,Read full review
