A smart little tool

I bought this model of printer some ten years ago and had trouble free use from it till recently when it decided not to print in black anymore. After various attempts to solve the problem I came to the conclusion to purchase a new one. I was quite surprised to learn that the price has rocketed from £105 when I bought it to about £455. That's when I chose to buy a refurbished one. Keeping with what I know, I decided on another Pixma 5250. Additionally, my computer was already setup for that model from the previous one so all I had to do was plug in the replacement and carry on without go through another installation.

I have to say, so far, so good. It still ticks all the boxes as a good, all-round smart little tool that prints, scans and copys with other facilities that I haven't tried yet - all for a third of the price of a new one. Satisville!.Read full review
