After being a loyal HP customer decided to switch to Canon after finding numerous glitches with an HP. If you’re looking for a multi function printer with copier and scanner functions, for everyday day use can’t go wrong. Need a little patience with initial WiFi set up, with no digital screen, it’s a little trickier than an HP, but once done no issues. Can air print from smart phone - with or without the canon app. Its quiet and doesn’t sound jerky like my old HP which was 3 times the price. The scan copy is also much quicker. Well made, and it works.

Faithful to a solid HP 1215 for many years, I replaced it with an HP Deskjet 2540. Flimsy, delinquent machine that threw up 'counterffeit' warnings when I used non-HP.carts. It died after 18 months.
So this Canon Pixma is a pleasant development, at a similar price. Sensible cartridge replacement point on the right at the front, not wobbling about deep in the machine. And double-sided print (I work with scripts) can save a lot of paper and filing space.Read full review

Like some other people I had some trouble setting this up, its actually easy to set up, the difficulty is
finding how to, setting up for cloud printing is very easy, ( one sentence ) but had difficulty in finding

It is a good printer but if you want to use it wirelessly from an IPad it has to go back to factory settings and then install it wirelessly every time it is needed
