The resolution spec is only slightly higher than the mk I. But you’d think it was much higher after working with the images. The tones of the images seem smoother too. But the reasons I wants the mk iii were dusk card slots, quiet shutter, and better focusing.Read full review

5D MARK II

The 5D Mark III is a solid work horse. This gray market version is exactly the same camera as the US model. Only difference is that Canon US doesn't honor the warranty. Canon allows this happen, so it is completely of their doing. Canon sells them cheaper over seas and US dealers buy them at a lower price and sell them here in the US with no warranty. This is why they can break MAP pricing. Don't buy the "US Model" upgrade, it's the same camera and Canon still won't honor the warranty. Canon is charging Americans more because they can.
