Great lens at a good price.
It's a used (barely) Canon lens in excellent condition. It can be very hard to find a used lens that shows so little wear. Glass is perfect. No fungus, very little dust.

The perfect backup lens.
I used it for the first time in a make up headshot session and loved the results. I used it with strobe lighting and it did hunt once in a while, but not a major problem, as the results were excellent.Read full review

Fast and accurate focus. This lens is a classic that excels in portraits, street photography and landscapes. Yes, it's not clinically sharp wide open, but that's not the intent of this lens. It's a balance of vintage lens character with modern lens focusing. Recommended!Read full review

Very good lens at a good price.
The images are clear, the USM works perfectly, and the aperture range is great for the price. I purchased this for better low-light than the standard 50mm from Canon (the 1.2 is far too pricey). My variable ND filter stuck and had to be broken to be removed, hopefully it was the filter and not the lens, the CPL filter goes on and off well.Read full review

Near mint is not how I'd describe a lens with a physically damaged focusing mechanism. Autofocus and manual focus both only work about 85% of the time
Near mint is not how I'd describe a lens with a physically damaged focusing mechanism. Autofocus and manual focus both only work about 85% of the time if the lens is held perfectly horizontally. If I point it up or down that percentage drops to about 15%. The lens was well packaged and it arrived without damage to the box, but the problems were apparent the moment I removed it from the packaging. There is no way someone could reasonably claim they inspected the lens and decided it was near mint.Read full review

great bang for the buck
this lens is a bit soft wide open at f1.4, but when you stop it down to at least f2, its fantastic. build quality is way better than the 50mm f1.8 II, and focuses quieter and faster

wonderful lens
the glass is flawless, and after some micro adjustments on the camera lens settings, it is a very sharp
Great lens for the $$$
There were much better 50mm lenses but value for dollar this is probably the best. I have several 50mm lenses of all kinds. This is fantastic for a lightweight lens that is small and easily balanced on a gimbal. I used this one with my M6 mark ii when gimbaled.
Whatever the price, the order from what I have used is this, step up to a Rokinon/Samsung, then the sigma art and canon L 50s are kind of 6 or half a dozen depending on what you need. Judge your own price but that is the quality order of the lenses I own. This is not at the bottom. The nifty fifty is and the rest are not worth owning imho Read full review
